Impulse buys rarely involve swimming pools. Yet, crafting one yourself could slash the cost to a mere fraction think 10 percent of the typical price tag.
Naturally, constructing an inground pool from the ground up isn’t for the faint of heart. But with the proper equipment and a solid grasp of the process, a remarkable result is entirely within reach.
Canadian duo Jerry and Marina Leussink are no strangers to the grit and grind required to build a swimming pool from the ground up.
The Leussinks’ massive swimming pool is so expansive, it easily makes room for activities like rowing turning their backyard into a private aquatic playground.
Owning a farm gives Jerry and Marina the luxury of extra acreage far more than the average backyard can offer.
Their property becomes a seasonal haven, drawing in friends and family each summer to soak up the sprawling views, crisp country air, and wide-open freedom.
The farm had it all rolling fields, rustic charm, and room to roam but one thing was missing: a swimming pool.
So Jerry took matters into his own hands it was time to build a pool, and he wasn’t about to settle for average.
The result? A colossal aquatic masterpiece holding a staggering 1.2 million liters, stretching 90 by 70 feet across. In its deepest pockets, it plunges an impressive 14 feet.
A pool of this magnitude and depth demands meticulous upkeep and Jerry made absolutely certain it was well cared for.
A 30-millimeter poly liner was installed to enhance safety, while a powerful pump system keeps the water in motion circulating chlorine and maintaining crystal-clear purity throughout the vast pool.
Since Jerry’s pool sits right on his property, guests are treated to an exclusive, VIP-like retreat. There’s no need to mingle with crowds no waiting, no time limits. They can lounge, swim, and soak in the serenity for as long as they please.
As time passed, Jerry continued to elevate the poolside experience adding charming extras like a sandbox for carefree play and a patio dance floor perfect for summer celebrations under the stars.
It’s evident that Jerry poured heart and intention into every detail of his pool’s design. Undertaking a project of this magnitude doesn’t happen without a vivid vision one filled with laughter, joy, and unforgettable memories waiting to unfold.
